This is my newest tattoo. Yes, it’s a Star Wars quote. Specifically an excerpt from the speech Yoda gives to Luke in The Empire Strikes Back. “Size matters not. Look at me. Judge me by my size, do you? Hmm? Hmm. And well you should not. For my ally is the Force, and a powerful ally it is. Life creates it, makes it grow. Its energy surrounds us and binds us. Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter. You must feel the Force around you; here, between you, me, the tree, the rock, everywhere, yes. Even between the land and the ship.”
I wanted it on the arm I used to cut. I wanted it near stretch marks. We’re not our bodies, our pasts, or our image. Humans are capable of incredible feats, both sinister and divine. When this quote is taken out of context, it can mean so much. Plus, I love me some Star Wars.Done by Jay at Aenigma Ink in Kitchener, Ontario.

This is my very first Tattoo, a gift from my father for my 21st birthday. They are Susuwatari (soot sprites) by Studio Ghibli. I’ a huge Studio Ghibli fan and this is the first of many Ghibli tattoos I have planned.

new & first tattoo from yesterday :)
meaning: well, my best friend Corrine and I got these matching tattoos, she’s got a larger neutral toned Simba on her right shoulder blade, and I have the black and purple behind my ear (pictured.) But, it’s not just a friend tattoo, it’s more than that. The Lion King has always been a huge part of my life, from being my favorite movie to teaching me many lessons on life. I like to take the lessons in the Lion King and apply them to how I live life (my favorite lesson being the Circle of Life and the natural cycle of things, of course.) As well as my choice for which symbol I chose, being the young Simba and having a lot of promise and growing up to be something great. As well as being a really awesome best friend tattoo haha.
Tattoo’d at Abstract Art by Drew in Gloucester, VA. Some cool people there, I’m so happy with my tattoo!

This is my second tattoo. While it is a line from The Lion King, it mainly serves as a reminder. I’ve had depression “spurts” for the last couple years, and now whenever I start losing myself, I can look at my arm and remember who I am.Done by Jeremiah at Pinstruck Tattoos in Newark, DE.
